Self-Portrait
Tarot Cards
As a response to an assignment to make a self-portrait from a third-person perspective, I took an online tarot reading and redesigned four cards with myself as the protagonist in all of them. My signature Black and red hair, hoop earrings, trench coat, and waistcoat feature in all the designs.

Temperance
The temperance card traditionally symbolizes balance, harmony, patience, and moderation.
My depiction utilizes wings as a medium to represent the balance between good and evil, a wing for each. The pot that drains talks to my patience. The eyes on my hands reflect my ability to filter what I see and what I say. The wheat behind me, enclosed in a circle link to my internal peace.
The High Priestess
The high priestess traditionally symbolizes the subconscious mind, intuition, mystery, and spiritual knowledge.
The hands around my head with the eyes in my depiction represent the different thoughts in my mind that are informed by the information I find around me. The crown with the three stars depicts my knowledge in art, science and design. The eye above my head reflects my intuition, that guides me towards my path, and keeps me away from evil.

The Hermit
The hermit traditionally symbolizes self-discovery, balance, and mental and emotional well-being.
The card was drawn in a negative context, implying an unstable period in my life.
My depiction uses the skull in the background with its mist to hint to the turbulent times ahead. The light in my hand is a representation of the light I see and the path I will take to get through the mist.
The Magician
The magician symbolizes dreams coming true, healing, and spiritual rebirth.
The Cancer constellation is a representation is a reflection of my spiritual self. The hat, the gems, and the staff represent the dreams I grew up on. The hand with the eye represents the real me. The potion in the back reflects my healing.
